JWA Prague
Jo Weaver is one of Prague's best-known PR and marketing experts. She set up JWA in the early 1990s and since that time has helped a number of high-profile client companies in the Czech Republic, including Tesco, the Augustine and Kempinski Hotels; and Czech sporting events such as the Prague International Marathon and the world-famous 'Velka Pardubicka' steeplechasing event.
In recent years, Jo has devoted more of her time to her writing projects, although she still takes on individual clients, especially in the fields of sports sponsorship and crisis management. She also runs Prague's business networking association the International Business Forum.
The brief was to combine three websites: Jo's main marketing site, her existing WordPress blog, and the sales pages for her current and past book projects. Given the need to pull together such varied elements, it was decided to focus on the personal brand, with a much stronger emphasis on Jo, her story, and her expertise.
The new website feels much more impactful and more up-to-date, and provides a significant end-point for a wide range of proposed social media campaigns.
I had been thinking about having my website redone for ages, but having worked with many different designers in Prague whilst running my PR and marketing agency, and having had mostly bad experiences, I hadn't gotten around to it. When I bumped into my old friend Alex a while ago and he told me that he was doing web design nowadays, and was happy to help, I thought 'why not?'. And wow, what a great experience! And what a great site.
Alex is so knowledgeable and so hands-on, and he just 'get's it'. The re-design was a very enjoyable experience, and he continues to look after the site, coming with ideas and updating it, all for a reasonable price. I wouldn't work with anyone else.
