Rob Cameron
Rob Cameron is a radio and TV journalist. Since 2004, he has been the BBC correspondent for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Rob contacted me in 2024 to ask if it was possible to build a site that would act as an archive for his extensive output of text, audio and video journalism.
As well as feeding visitors’ curiosity about central Europe, Rob also wanted to use this new site as a portal to his other work as a conference moderator, podcaster and video producer.
The project included the construction of a bespoke input form – using advanced custom fields – which would be straightforward enough to allow the owner to upload details, audio and video files for each broadcast. It also made use of a custom archive page which allows all the materials to be filtered and sorted according to broadcast date or subject tag.
Alex built me a fabulous professional website, where I can put twenty years of my work for BBC Radio, TV and Online in one place. But more than a simple archive, he has created a thing of beauty. He guided me every step of the way with the overall look and feel of the site, as well as optimising individual posts for maximum impact. The end result is stunning. I cannot recommend his services highly enough.
