Women Experts
“Women Experts and Feminism” is a biographical dictionary of women who addressed gender issues during the state-socialist period in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
The site was commissioned as part of a wider project coordinated by a team under the aegis of the Czech Institute of History, jointly funded by the Czech Science Foundation and the National Science Centre, Poland
The aim of this digital archive was to make their biographies visible to the wider public and popularize their ideas. The reader is invited to reflect on common threads and ideas. Finally, it is hoped that the dictionary should encourage new research.

Working with Alex has been an absolute pleasure. From the initial conceptual planning through to implementation and the ongoing maintenance of our websites, Alex has been professional, responsive, and a joy to collaborate with.
We have developed two websites together, both connected to academia, and we particularly appreciated Alex's ability to understand and work with the complexities of academically oriented projects. His grasp of nuanced and specialized content made the entire process smooth and efficient.
We are continuously receiving compliments on both websites, which is a testament to Alex's thoughtful design, attention to detail, and ability to create sites that are both visually appealing and highly functional.
Throughout our collaboration, Alex has consistently delivered high-quality work, communicated clearly, and provided reliable support. We are extremely satisfied with the results and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled, dependable, and highly capable web designer and developer.
